Dibrugarh, July 17: The Kamrup Express encountered an unexpected incident on Tuesday evening when its engine and a coach detached in the Dibrugarh district of Assam. The detachment occurred between the Lahowal and Chaulkhowa stations.

Further details are awaited as investigations continue.

This incident follows a similar occurrence earlier this month on July 6, involving the Panchvati Express. Coaches number 3 and 4 of the Panchvati Express decoupled near the Kasara station while en route to Mumbai. The Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railways reported that the issue was resolved swiftly, with the coaches successfully recoupled within approximately 22 minutes. The Panchvati Express continued its journey to Mumbai shortly after confirming the safety of the train.
