Protests and Unrest in Dhaka
The anti-discrimination student movement has announced it will unveil the outline of a national government at 8 pm local time. Nahid Islam, the movement’s coordinator, urged students to prevent looting and maintain peaceful demonstrations until their goals are achieved.
Protestors stormed the Prime Minister’s official residence on Monday, soon after Sheikh Hasina resigned and left the country with her sister. Agitators set fire to the Awami League’s Dhaka district office and Sheikh Hasina’s office at 3/A Dhanmondi in Dhaka, celebrating her resignation with chants and slogans.

The unfolding events in Dhaka will likely have significant implications for the region’s stability and future political landscape.
