Know all about cyclone Michaung
The name of the cyclone Michaung pronounced as ‘migjaum’ was suggested by Myanmar. It means ‘strength’ or ‘resilience’.

Michaung is also likely to affect parts of Southern Odisha and the coastal belt of the state.

IMD predicts that the there will be wind speed of 80 to 90 kilometer per hour during the Michaung which can go up to 100 kms per hour.

The IMD has already issued Yellow Allert for the Odisha and Orange alert for Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu.

The IMD has also asked the fishermen from Odisha not to venture out into the sea till December 6.
