Vacancy Distribution and Selection Process:
The 269 vacancies are distributed across various categories:
- Unreserved: 82
- OBC/MOBC: 64
- SC: 17
- ST(P): 24
- ST(H): 77
The selection process comprises three stages:
- Physical Standards Tests (PST) and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET): These tests assess the candidate’s physical fitness and agility. The PET carries a weightage of 40 marks.
- Written Test: Successful candidates from the PST/PET phase will qualify for the written test, which consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer carries half a mark. The test will be held in Guwahati, with the exact date and venue to be announced later.
- Viva Voce: Candidates who clear the written test will be called for a final viva voce round.
