National Desk, March 1: The pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani, the youngest scion of Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of Encore Healthcare CEO Viren Merchant, commenced on March 1 in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The grand affair witnessed the arrival of distinguished guests from around the globe, including notable personalities like Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and pop sensation Rihanna.
In a touching gesture, Nita Ambani, Mukesh Ambani’s wife, conveyed her heartfelt sentiments through a special video message, articulating two significant aspirations for her son’s union. “Firstly,” she expressed, “we aim to commemorate our heritage and roots through these festivities. Secondly, we envision this celebration as a homage to our rich arts, culture, and heritage, with Jamnagar holding a special place in our hearts, being the starting point of my career.”
The event saw an influx of celebrities from the film industry, with luminaries such as Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Shah Rukh Khan’s family, Arjun Kapoor, and the extended family of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor gracing the occasion with their presence. Welcome arches adorned the airport, symbolizing the warm reception accorded to the arriving guests. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his spouse Priscilla Chan were among the first to arrive, welcomed with traditional hospitality.
The pre-wedding festivities, slated to span three days, commenced at 5:30 pm, promising a blend of tradition and grandeur. Anant and Radhika, who exchanged rings in January 2023 at Antilia, the Ambani residence in Mumbai, are slated to tie the knot in July, marking the culmination of their journey towards marital bliss.
