Originating in England, Christmas pudding, also known as plum pudding, holds a special place in the hearts of those partaking in this time-honored ceremony.

Prepared five weeks before Christmas, on or after the Sunday before Advent, each family member or child takes part in stirring the pudding, making a heartfelt wish for the season.

The Radisson Blue hotel in Guwahati also started the festivity for Christmas by organising a fruit mixing ceremony.

Adding a gourmet touch to the festivities, Chef  Nayanjyoti Saikia of MasterChef India seventh season fame took part in the fruit mixing ceremony.
