Kolkata, Feb 10: In a recent update on Mithun Chakraborty’s health, it has been disclosed that the veteran actor, who was admitted to the hospital in the morning, has been diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Stroke, commonly referred to as a stroke of the brain. Despite this alarming diagnosis, Chakraborty remains conscious and is receiving specialized care.
Upon admission to the hospital earlier in the day, Chakraborty complained of chest pain, prompting medical attention. Subsequent tests, including an MRI of the brain, confirmed the stroke diagnosis. However, the actor’s consciousness and orientation remain unaffected.
The hospital has mobilized a team of specialists, including neuro-physicians, cardiologists, and gastroenterologists, to oversee Chakraborty’s treatment and recovery process.
Earlier statements from Chakraborty’s son, Mimoh Chakraborty, had reassured concerned well-wishers, characterizing his father’s hospital visit as a routine checkup. The actor and BJP leader had arrived at the hospital around 10.30 am.
