New Delhi, Feb 10: In a recent address during the last session of the 17th Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscored the critical nature of the next 25 years for India’s progress, setting forth ambitious objectives for the nation’s development.

PM Modi articulated, “The next 25 years are very important for our country. Political activities have their place, but the aspirations, expectations, dreams, and resolve of the country are that these 25 years are something in which the country will achieve the desired results.”

Drawing parallels with historic movements like the Salt Satyagraha and Swadeshi Andolan, which paved the way for India’s independence, PM Modi highlighted the collective resolve within the nation to propel India towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.

Acknowledging the evolving global landscape, PM Modi emphasized the significance of data in the 21st century, citing the passage of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act as a crucial step in safeguarding data and fostering interest worldwide.

Addressing various dimensions of security, including marine, space, and cyber, the Prime Minister stressed the need to enhance positive capabilities while effectively countering negative forces. He commended space reforms for their forward-looking approach with long-term implications.

Reflecting on economic reforms undertaken by the 17th Lok Sabha, PM Modi noted the removal of thousands of compliances to streamline citizens’ lives, reiterating the belief in ‘Minimum Government and Maximum Governance’ to maximize democracy’s capabilities.

Highlighting the past five years of the BJP-led government as a period of reform, performance, and transformation, PM Modi expressed confidence in the continued blessings upon the 17th Lok Sabha from the citizens.

“In five years of the 17th Lok Sabha, several important decisions have been taken, and facing several challenges, everyone, according to their capability, has tried to give the right direction to the country,” PM Modi remarked.

The Prime Minister also highlighted legislative achievements, including the removal of obsolete laws and the decriminalization of numerous activities through initiatives such as the Jan Vishwas Act and the Mediation Act.

With the budget session of Parliament concluding, attention now turns to the upcoming general elections expected to be held in April-May this year, marking a pivotal moment in India’s democratic journey.

PM Modi’s vision and leadership continue to shape the nation’s trajectory, with a strong focus on achieving prosperity and progress in the years to come.
