News Desk, Feb 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his impactful two-nation visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar, fostering stronger bilateral relations and addressing key areas of cooperation. After departing from Doha, the capital of Qatar, PM Modi enplaned for New Delhi, marking the end of his fruitful diplomatic mission.

During his visit to Qatar, PM Modi engaged in significant discussions with the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, alongside the presence of India’s External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, and National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval. Among the highlights was PM Modi’s expression of gratitude towards Qatar for supporting the release of Indian navy veterans detained in an alleged espionage case. He also extended a formal invitation to the Amir of Qatar to visit India, emphasizing the importance of bilateral ties.

In addition to discussions on regional security and cultural affinity, PM Modi and the Amir of Qatar explored avenues for enhancing energy partnerships and strengthening people-to-people connections. The visit underscored the shared commitment to fostering peace and stability in the region amidst recent developments in West Asia.

Prior to his engagements in Qatar, PM Modi inaugurated the first Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi, UAE, symbolizing the deep-rooted friendship between India and the UAE. The BAPS Hindu Mandir stands as a testament to cultural inclusivity and interfaith harmony, reflecting the spirit of collaboration between the two nations.

Throughout his visit, PM Modi engaged with leaders, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, discussing strategies to bolster bilateral ties and address regional challenges.

The Indian diaspora warmly welcomed PM Modi during his visit, showcasing their support and enthusiasm through slogans and gestures of appreciation. The visit not only strengthened diplomatic relations but also highlighted the vibrant cultural exchange between India, UAE, and Qatar.
